The negligence of the rulers is not the punishment for the sins.

How long will rain and flood continue to be called a natural disaster?

These days, Pakistan is suffering from the worst flood situation in the country's history, after heavy rains during the monsoon season, around 1100 people have been killed and millions of people have been displaced.

The negligence of the rulers is not the punishment for the sins. How long will rain and floods continue to be called natural calamities?

According to official records, July this year has recorded the heaviest rainfall since 1961, which led to floods, but you will be surprised to know that the amount of rain in Pakistan has killed hundreds of people and displaced millions.  Rains many times more than this are common in the world.  Let us tell you where and how much rain has occurred in Pakistan this year and how much rain occurs in different countries of the world.

Monsoon season started in Pakistan this year from June 30.  According to the Meteorological Department, Pakistan has recorded 181% more rainfall since 1961.

Let us also tell you that Baluchistan and Sindh received 450% and 308% more rains than the average, Punjab recorded 116%, Gilgit-Baltistan 32% and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 30% more than the average.

It is a fact that this year the duration of Monsoon season was quite long and Pakistan receives an average of 144 mm of rain in the Monsoon season, but this time the highest rainfall was recorded up to 784 mm.

Before we tell you about the normal rainfall in the world.  It is also important to know whether this rain happened suddenly.

The answer is no.  Because the Meteorological Department has been predicting more than normal rainfall this year and warning the concerned institutions since several months before the monsoon, but as usual our institutions were waiting for disaster.

But if our institutions had moved in time, precious human lives could have been saved from being lost, as we saw in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that a woman Additional Deputy Commissioner Quratul Ain went door to door to evacuate people and shifted them to a safe place.

Like in Sindh, South Punjab, Balochistan and Swat and other areas, if the administration had come to their senses in time, perhaps more than a thousand lives would not have been lost.

Now let us tell you that as much rain as Pakistan has suffered from disaster, so many rains are not even counted in many countries.

The highest rainfall in the world occurs in Colombia, about 3,240 mm per year, but there is neither a flood nor a natural disaster, but life continues as normal.  .

If we talk about Asia, here in Malaysia it rains about 2875 mm per year, but there is no cry of natural calamity and decades of sins are not given, but the safety of people's life and property is ensured.

If we take the example of Bangladesh born from the womb of Pakistan, there is 2 thousand 666 mm of rain annually, but such a situation is rarely seen there.

Pakistan is close to 145 in the world in terms of rainfall, but accidents start here with just a few drops of rain.  Makes you besieged. In the villages, the idea of rain is impossible.

It is a fact that no one is strong in the face of nature, but if it is a punishment for sins, are sins committed only in villages?

Do only the poor commit sins in Pakistan?  Does the punishment come only for the huts and mud houses of the poor and needy people?

If this is not the case, then how long have we been calling our negligence and carelessness a natural disaster and a punishment for sin?

Until those responsible for negligence are determined, the poor will continue to die in the name of natural calamities and the rulers will continue to rub salt in the wounds of the poor by blaming them for their sins.
