 Karachi :Amir Liaqat was buried and his son offered funeral prayers

National Assembly member Amir Liaquat Hussain has been laid to rest after offering funeral prayers.  

Amir Liaquat's funeral prayer was offered by his son Ahmed Amir. 

 A large number of political and social personalities and citizens including Imran Ismail, Dr. Farooq Sattar, Ramzan Chhepa, Khurram Sher Zaman and Sahir Lodhi attended the funeral prayers. 

Funeral prayers of Aamir Liaquat were offered at the mausoleum of Abdullah Shah Ghazi.  His son Ahmad Amir offered his father's funeral prayers after which he was buried in the shrine premises.

Amir Liaquat's third wife Dania Malik had also reached the mausoleum of Abdullah Shah Ghazi for her husband's last visit where he fell ill and was shifted to a private hospital.

 It may be recalled that Amir Liaquat had passed away yesterday.

  Police insisted on an autopsy to determine the cause of death, but the family refused.  Funeral prayers delayed due to dispute between police and family over postmortem
