Dania said in a video statement on her Instagram account that she had approached the court for annulment of the marriage due to "torture".
Dania Shah's claim
Dania told Dunya News TV channel that "Dr. Amir Liaqat was cruel and kept his room locked for two or four days and did not even give food on time."
He said that if the talk of the servants or the media seemed bad, he would come and argue with me, push me and even threaten to shoot me once.
"I thought I was being punished for some sin and I was in hell," Dania said.

On the other hand, Dr Amir Liaqat, while sharing a screenshot of WhatsApp, claimed that Dania had been calling him to Bahawalpur before approaching the court for annulment of marriage.
